Tip

A word that refers to the bud leaf of the tea plant, which provides the finest flavour. The tip is normally covered in fine hairs that vary in colour from silver to gold in the made tea. The presence of tips is a sign of fine plucking and apparent in the top grades of Orthodox manufacture.
