Tea

1. The name given to the leaves, leaf buds, and internodes of the Camellia sinensis plant, prepared and cured by a variety of processing methods.

2. A term that refers to the aromatic beverage prepared from the cured leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant by addition of hot or boiling water. This drink has a cooling, slightly bitter, astringent flavour, and (after water) is the most widely-consumed beverage in the world.
