Smoky

1. A tea-tasting expression that is used to describe a manufacturing defect that results in the liquor tasting of smoke.

2. The name given to teas that have been smoked over a wood fire, in order to purposely impart a tarry, smoky flavour; for example, Caravan or Lapsang Souchong.
