Pouchong
Chinese for 'the wrapped kind'.
A term that refers to a lightly oxidized tea (somewhere between green tea and oolong tea) produced in Fujian, China, and in Pinglin Township near Taipei, Taiwan (Formosa). At its best, Pouchong has a rich, mild taste and gives off a melon and floral fragrance.
The name of this scented tea is derived from the traditional Cantonese method of packing tea in smaller paper packets during the drying process, each of which was supposed to be the product of one tea plant.
